Alba Rosales is a Registered Bilingual (English/Spanish) Mental Health Counselor Intern. She graduated from her Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from St. Thomas University in Miami, Florida. She completed her Bachelors degree in Psychology from Universidad del Norte in Barranquilla, Colombia. She did her practicum year for her Masters providing individual, group and family therapy at an Outpatient Facility for adolescents dually diagnosed with substance abuse and mental health disorders. She also completed her Bachelor’s practicum in an a rehabilitation hospital for patients diagnosed with different types of neuropsychological problems. Alba worked for 4 years at an outpatient facility for mental health clients where she performed intakes, assisted psychiatrists and therapists, and provided support and psycho-educational individual and group therapy to DUI clients. Lastly, Alba had the opportunity of creating a support therapy group in Botswana, Africa with children diagnosed with HIV. Alba’s passion is to help others achieve their best well being. She uses different types of approaches such as CBT, Existential, Psychodynamic and Humanistic therapies, among others, depending on the clients needs.
