NEUROPSYCHOLOGICAL ASSESSMENTS

A neuropsychological assessment is an evaluation of brain functioning after an injury or a notable change.  A thorough assessment can also measure cognitive, emotional, and motor dysfunction.  The overall benefits included: providing a measure of strengths, weaknesses, course of recovery, assist in diagnosis, treatment, education, vocational recommendation, and rehabilitation.  Neuropsychological evaluations also serve useful for a variety of individuals including:

  • Central Nervous System (CNS) dysfunction (i.e. stroke, head injury, tumor, dementia)
  • Suspected yet undocumented neurocognitive deficits.
