Attention-Deficit\/Hyperactivity Disorder<\/a><\/h4>\r\n<\/div>\r\n

ADHD is a neurocognitive\/neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by inattention and\/or impulsivity\/hyperactivity which commonly interfere with everyday functioning at home, school or work. In children, the essential features include difficulty completing tasks, forgetful, making careless mistakes, poor concentration, being on the go, hyperactive, easily distractible, restless, interrupting others in conversation and difficulty taking turns. In adults, symptoms include difficulty sustaining attention at work, problems in interpersonal relationships, difficulty with daily activities, poor task completion, often procrastinates and easily sidetracked.<\/p>\r\n

ADHD testing includes self-report measures, a computerized task-oriented, visual and auditory assessments to determine the degree of inattention, vigilance, impulsivity, hyperactivity and overall attention deficits.<\/p>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n

Neurocognitive Disorders such as traumatic brain injury\/stroke are evaluated with a comprehensive neuropsychological testing to assess the strengths and limitations following these injuries and suspected damage to the brain. The neuropsychological testing utilizes standardized measures and is specialized in task-oriented evaluations to assess the brain-behavior relationship and cognitive functioning. The most common areas evaluated include attention, memory, psychomotor processing speed, visuospatial\/visuoconstructional abilities, motor functioning, intelligence, language abilities and personality.<\/p>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n<\/div>\r\n
