LILIA E. RIOS DE LEON
Lilia E. Rios De Leon is a Ph.D. doctoral intern in Clinical Psychology of the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico. She graduated with a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Puerto Rico in San Juan, Puerto Rico. After completing her bachelor’s degree in psychology, she worked for two years in the ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) program with preschool children with autism and their families’ doing therapies at home. Lilia worked for 10 years as a Counselor at the Polytechnical University of Puerto Rico. She has worked counseling students helping them to manage their academic, emotional, family and mental health diagnoses. In 2020 she was part of the mental health staff in the Triad Team program of Bay District School in Panama City, Florida. In this program she worked with students from elementary, middle and high school. Lilia has felt a great commitment and passion for helping people improve their mental health. She uses various therapy strategies including CBT, ACT, Psychodynamic and Humanistic and others that are appropriate to the clients’ needs.
